Working with our network of construction trade specialists, our Preconstruction staff, in consultation with our Project Management staff, is able to develop innovative project cost saving and value engineering recommendations for all types of building systems during the Preconstruction Phase.
During construction, the management responsibility for the project shifts from our Estimating staff to our Project Management staff. The hallmark of a successful Post Construction phase is attention to detail at project turnover. We understand that no facility we build can be considered successfully finished until an orderly project closeout has been completed to the Owner’s satisfaction.
Our Estimators, Project Managers and Field Superintendents recognize that on-time, within budget completion is one of the most important goals of any construction project. We pride ourselves on successfully controlling our projects by first developing a plan to fit the Owner’s needs and then formalizing the plan into a realistic project budget and construction schedule.
The Project Management Control System we establish for each project provides a comprehensive means of structuring all aspects of that project: cost estimating, scheduling, expediting, documentation and cost control. This system has the flexibility to adjust to any size project, and any Owner’s specific reporting needs.
Mellor Contracting is proficient in the design/build process. With this delivery method, our organization is contracted by the Owner to provide both design and construction services for the project. The design/build project delivery method offers several advantages to the Owner:
When acting as a Design/Builder, we enter into sub contractual agreements with professional architects and engineers to provide required design services. Architects and engineers are selected with the approval of the Owner, based upon their qualifications specific to the project. We manage the construction phase of the project through its proven Preconstruction, Construction, Postconstruction and Project Management Control scopes of service.
